By the end of class my partner, Chris and I saw how reading a speech can be difficult. Not difficult because of the reading itself but difficult to read because of its importance and wanting it to be perfect. Although we did not finish the speech and we have more podcasting to do, it was a good experience even though we made many mistakes. I think the biggest plus for us today was making those mistakes gave us more time to read over the speech and disect the meaning of some of the things that were said. Going into the project both of us knew that it was a powerful speech and that it would be an interesting lesson but the podcasting has brought a new dynamic to the process. Most importantly, we are having fun and learning at the same time, not only about history but also about each other.

2/23

Today in class we will post our podcast for our lesson plan. Chris and I will also come up with 5 question that we will have to ask the students about the JFK speech. I already have some ideas about what I want to ask some of which would lead into following lesson plans once we become teachers. It will be interesting to see how we podcast the speech and if my voice will sound any better this time on the mic. I hope that we can get the majority of the work done today so that we can bring closure to this topic.

Lab 2/19 end

Today, my partner Chris and I recorded the opening intro to our podcast on the JFK inagural address. My voice sounded kind of funny on the podcast and I hope I really don't sound like that in real life. To be honest the whole blogging/podcasting thing is sort of confusing and it seems as if it will take a while before I can get the hang of the whole thing. I hope it doesn't take to long to learn.

Lab 2/19

I was not in class for the last lesson so I'm not to sure what happen or what was learn. Today we have already graded our own lesson plans and handed them back for further grading by Dr. Luongo. I'm hoping today we will learn about posting our podcast or something to that effect. Today will aslo be interesting because I will be able to sit down with my partner Chris Trenfield and get some help understanding the whole project. Chris is much better with computers than I am so I think we balance each other out and it will be fun working together. I also hope that we will have more time to work on these projects however, I think we just received some good news with the possiblity of class being cancelled next week. I hate getting up at 6:30 after getting in from work at 11:30. five hours of sleep everyday is killing me.

Chris Trenfield and I will be working together on podcasting an intro and summary of former President John F. Kennedy's Inaugural address delivered January 20, 1961.
